Well hello friends and Merry Christmas Eve! I’ve had so much fun getting ready for Christmas this year and decking the halls. I can’t wait to show you guys!
But first, I’m going to get completely real here. Today I renewed my blog hosting. Crazily enough that means it’s been over a year since I bought my house and almost a year since I decided to start my home blog. THAT. IS. WILD. Time flies by.
It’s a great feeling approaching my year anniversary with blogging and it’s also a great time to reflect on how the year’s been.
(This is where it gets real)
Plain and simple: I didn’t dedicate enough time to my blog and hobbies surrounding my blog as much as I wanted to and this disappoints me.
I very candidly spent a moment wondering what the point of renewing my website hosting was when I’ve been consistently posting here maybe once a month? But having real moments with yourself sometimes reminds you why you started something to begin with and I absolutely know I love blogging and having this website has been such an adventure I want to continue building.
I had to be real and promise myself to dedicate more time and documentation here at TNH (Yes I just created that acronym)
I have lots of goals and plans for this upcoming year and TNH could prove itself to be right in the middle of a lot of those plans.
ALRIGHT, moving right along into what we came here for.. here’s some pictures of my little winter wonderland.
Starting with the mantle, throughout you’ll find my theme of neutrals and red. Most of the decorations here are from Target including the stockings, stocking holders, and Christmas tree sign. I hung a little strip of battery-operating string lights and I’ve been loving it! I get obsessed with lights this time of year.
Hot cocoa with marshmallows…. very necessary. I recently got a new phone, the iPhone 8 plus, and I’ve been experimenting with the portrait mode. It’s a blast.
Decorating my hutch for Christmas was so much fun. This was the first place in my house that was Christmas-y.
As soon as the fall stuff left the building, it looked so bare in the hutch I had to get going on the winter decorations. (excuse the graininess)
The decor came from a variety of places and you can get a more in depth look in my post here.
My review on ^ this ^ snuggly sweater candle = amazing
The jingle sign was a few dollars from Michael’s craft store.
This nutcracker came from the dollar store and I got my “Dear Santa the Dog did it” sign from Hobby Lobby for a few dollars as well.
Speaking of which, it’s my puppy’s first Christmas! He is getting so big for being six months old.
BRUCE! What a handsome fella!
And that concludes today’s Christmas tour. I hope you all enjoy the holidays. Remember to slow down and enjoy the magic of it all.
Although it’s been said many times many ways Merry Christmas to you. 🙂
